Summer camp programming may look a little different as County programs follow local, State and Federal guidelines to decrease the spread of COVID-19. County restrictions likely will include outdoor programming, smaller group sizes, a health questionnaire, COVID-19 waivers, sanitizing and more.
County Recreation camps offer a broad range of programs located throughout the County, with an emphasis on safety and fun. In-person programs will take place outdoors and there will be some virtual summer activities.
MCR is accepting applications for 2021 RecAssist, which provides eligible County residents an opportunity to receive a scholarship to use toward most summer programs. County residents who currently receive public assistance from any of these programs are eligible for RecAssist: Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA); Supplemental Security Income; Housing Assistance from a Shelter; Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); Maryland Medicaid; Care for Kids; Maryland Energy Assistance; Montgomery County HHS Rental Assistance Program; and WIC.
