Sections of the Little Fall Stream Valley Park Trail in Bethesda will be closed this fall due to the planned replacements of two existing pedestrian bridge crossings, near Westmoreland Hills Local Park and Albemarle Drive. The Montgomery Parks project is scheduled to be completed in spring 2021.
The connector trails to the Little Falls main trail also will be repaved to improve drainage, stabilize stream channels and protect exposed utility infrastructure.
The construction will cause the following impacts:
- Crossings will be closed to all traffic during the replacement.
- Caution must be used near the construction areas and bikes must be walked through the area as needed.
- Little Falls Trail access will be shared with construction.
