County Executive Elrich to Hold Three More Hybrid Forums on FY 2023 Operating Budget

Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and the County’s regional services centers will host three additional hybrid forums in October to seek input on the Fiscal Year 2023 Operating Budget. The next forum will be held Wednesday, Oct. 13, at the White Oak Community Recreation Center. Residents can attend the forums in person or view them via the internet.

The first two forums of the budget process were held on Oct. 5 and 6.

The County is in the early stages of formulating the FY23 operating budget. County Executive Elrich is required to submit a recommended budget to the County Council by March 15. The Council will then have two months to study the budget. It must adopt a final budget by late May. The FY23 operating budget will go into effect on July 1.

The forums will be televised live on the County cable station County Cable Montgomery (CCM), which can be seen on Comcast (Channel 6 and High-Definition Channel 996), RCN (Channel 6 and HD 1056) and Verizon (Channel 30). All forums also will be available on cable channels Montgomery Municipal (Channel 16 plus HD 997 on Comcast and HD 1061 on RCN), Montgomery Community Media (Channel 21 plus HD 995 on Comcast and HD 1055 on RCN) and Montgomery College TV (Channel 10 plus HD 998 on Comcast and HD 1058 on RCN).

The forums also can be viewed on Facebook Live.
