‘The Tubman Country Experience’ Will Be Presented by Montgomery History Starting Monday, June 20
A virtual tour of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center will be presented by Park Ranger Cierra Maszkiewicz starting Monday, June 20. The park, which sits on the trailhead for the 125‐mile Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway, provides an in-depth understanding of Ms. Tubman’s early years spent in Maryland’s Choptank River Region.
“The Tubman Country Experience,” which is part of a series from Montgomery History, will be available online from June 20-27. Registration is not required.
The presentation will examine Ms. Tubman’s legacy as a leader, liberator and humanitarian in the resistance movement of the Underground Railroad. It will address the design concept of “The View North” and the life and legacy of the great American hero.
