14th ‘Tribute to America’s Veterans’ Free Concert in Silver Spring Will Be Held on Thursday, Nov. 10, Featuring ‘Seth Kibel and the Kleztet’



The 14th "Tribute to America’s Veterans Concert" will be held starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at American Legion Post 41 in Downtown Silver Spring. The event, which will feature Klezmer music and Django Jazz with Seth Kibel and the Kleztet, is free and open to everyone.

The concert will be presented by Silver Spring Town Center, Inc., in collaboration with the Montgomery County Commission on Veterans Affairs and the Sons of the American Legion. Marine Corps Veteran Wayne Miller, who is the chair of the Commission on Veterans Affairs, will be the keynote speaker.

American Legion, Post 41 is located at 905 Sligo Ave. in Downtown Silver Spring. Military dress is encouraged for attending veterans. Light hors d'ouevres will be provided by El Golfo restaurant. 

Seth Kibel is one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier woodwind specialists, working with some of the best bands in jazz and swing. He plays the saxophone, clarinet and flute, playing throughout the Washington/Baltimore region and beyond. He is the featured performer with The Alexandria Kleztet, Bay Jazz Project, Music Pilgrim Trio and The Natty Beaux. He is the winner of 28 Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies), including "Best World Music Instrumentalist" (2003-11) and "Best Jazz Instrumentalist" (2005, 2007-8, 2011-14). His most recent recording, Seth Kibel Presents: Songs of Snark & Despair, was released in 2017 on the Azalea City Recordings record label.
