Gaithersburg Book Festival Will Feature More Than 135 Authors—Including Humorist Dave Barry—on Saturday, May 20

The Gaithersburg Book Festival, which since its inception in 2010 has evolved into one of the nation’s premier book festivals, will offer the opportunity to hear more than 135 authors for free from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, at Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg. Among this year’s feature authors will be humorist Dave Barry.

Bohrer Park is located at 506 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg. There will be limited free parking at the adjacent Gaithersburg High School. However, the lot will fill early, so attendees are encouraged to park at auxiliary sites and take free shuttles to the festival.

Free parking with shuttle bus service to the festival can be found at:
Authors at the festival appear at set times throughout the day for presentations. Most are then available to sign copies of their books for those who choose to purchase them onsite or bring their own copies.

The festival will have authors from various genres for all ages and many interests. It also is an outstanding event for budding authors to learn about the profession of writing.

Among this year’s featured guests at the festival’s numerous pavilions will be the author of dozens of best-seller humor books Dave Barry (4:15 p.m.); poet Fran Abrams (4:15 p.m.); romantic comedy author Sarah Adler (11:15 a.m.); children’s authors M.T. Anderson (10:15 a.m.), Tom Angleberger (10:15 a.m.) and John David Anderson (11:15 a.m.); thrillers author E.A.
