    1. The lawsuit is being brought on a contingency basis on the County’s behalf by the firm of Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP.

  2. Clearly this is not a frivolous lawsuit, but it does indicate that MOCO has its own "swamp," of lawyers. If Ike were more serious about saving people form Opioids - instead of just recovering money - he would require all MOCO doctors, nurses, pharmacists, police officers and firemen) to complete the USDHHS "Pathways to Safer Opioid Use" virtual experience simulation. I think that would do more to help save lives than just going after the non-MOCO drug companies.

  3. This is a ridiculous waste of county money. Addiction is a horrible disease and this is a serious issue, but there is absolutely no way that Montgomery County is going to win against big Pharma companies. This monies spent on the lawsuit would be better spent on drug prevention / awareness at schools, rehab & mental health facilites, improved schools, and even fixing potholes! Stop wasting taxpayer money on useless objectives and put it back into the community that actually may make a difference!
