The Montgomery County Commission for Women and Montgomery Women, a nonpartisan organization that works to ensure that women are fully represented in leadership positions in the County, will host a free virtual career guidance session for female middle school, high school and college students from 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21. The presentation will be hosted via Zoom.
Pre-registration for the Zoom meeting is required. To register, click here. MCPS students must register with a non-MCPS email address.
This event will offer an opportunity for female middle school, high school and college students to begin exploring careers of their interest that are non-traditional for women. Students will hear from professional women who will share their experiences and knowledge about their chosen careers. The panel will include women in careers ranging from fire services, STEM careers, law enforcement and entrepreneurship.
MCPS students who complete and return a small survey at the end of the event can receive Student Service-Learning Hours (SSL Hours)—a maximum of two—for their participation.
