  1. What does this mean?

"*Collection for Friday provided one day later for remainder of week (last collection day is Saturday)"

Probably should use wording from https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/SWS/holidays/
which is "No County-provided recycling or trash collections on January 18; all pickups that week slide by one day"

  2. The note regarding Refuse/recycling pickup is ambiguous. The note implies that there will be no collection on Monday. The footnote implies that only collection normally scheduled on Friday will be collected on Saturday. One has to assume that Monday collection will occur on Tuesday. Please clarify.

    1. Thank you for your question. I apologize for the confusion. Because of the Martin Luther King, Jr., holiday, there was no Montgomery County-provided trash collection on Monday. This week, all County-provided trash service will slide one day.

You are correct, the Monday collection will occur on Tuesday, the Tuesday on Wednesday, etc...

The Division of Solid Waste Services offers notifications about holiday or weather-related changes to County-provided collection service. To sign up, visit:

    2. Your refuse/recycling pickup notice should be more informative. It should say that all pickup slides by one day!

  3. This is all veru unclear wheather or not the trash pickup takes place as usual. You have obviously changed your format and as usual better is the enemy of good. Good lord whats next more improvments that lead only to more and more confusion.
