55-and-Over ‘Nature Singles Mingle’ and Maple Sugar Walking Among February Special Events and Programs from Montgomery Parks

A “nature singles mingle” for those 55-and-over and taking a maple sugar walk are among the special events and programs that will be hosted by Montgomery Parks in February.

Montgomery Parks' February special events will include:
  • 55+ Nature Single’s Mingle. Saturday, Feb. 17. 5–7 p.m. Black Hill Discovery Center, 20926 Lake Ridge Drive, Boyds. Join other mature singles to unwind and socialize with craft mocktails and snacks while enjoying the 2024 Duck Stamp gallery, unique nature displays and outdoor deck showcasing Black Hill Regional Park. Registration required. $25 per person.
  • Socials for 55+: Maple Sugaring Walk. Thursday, Feb. 29. 2–3 p.m. Brookside Nature Center, 1400 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton. Hike with a naturalist to the Maple Grove and learn how sugar sap is collected and transformed into maple syrup. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be provided. Registration required. $7 per person.
