‘Mills in Montgomery County’ Will Be Focus of Montgomery History Online Presentation
The “Mills in Montgomery,” a presentation that focuses on the rise and fall of the milling industry in Montgomery County, will be the focus of a free online presentation from Montgomery History starting Monday, April 15. The presentation will be available on demand for one week.
The talk, led by Don Housley, president of the Mid-Potomac Chapter of the Archaeological Society of Maryland. He describes the nature and diversity of milling operations on the major stream valleys in the County, along with some archaeology done on selected mill sites.
