Montgomery County has 39 companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America—the most of any jurisdiction in Maryland. Companies on the prestigious annual list are ranked according to overall percentage revenue growth from 2020 through 2023.
The highest-ranking company in the region is Rockville’s Autosled Inc., which debuted at No.12 in the nation based on its average annual revenue growth of 14,001 percent. Rockville’s Chaberton Energy was the second-highest at No.34, with an annual revenue growth of just under 7,300 percent.
Maryland has 116 companies on the 2024 Inc. 5000, with a total impact of 8,286 jobs added. Of these companies, 76 have appeared on the list previously and 11 are new additions.
