Montgomery County Seeks Your Input to Balance the Budget


The Montgomery County Office of Management and Budget invites you to participate in an interactive budget forum using “Balancing Act” – a new, online tool designed to increase public engagement during the FY20 budget process.

The Interactive Budget Development Forum will be held on Monday, Feb. 11, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Executive Office Building cafeteria – terrace level, located at 101 Monroe Street in Rockville.

Participants must bring their own laptops or tablets to the event.

  1. A smart way to raise a limited amount of revenue would be to raise the permitting fees for builders who wish to demolish homes and stores. I am disheartened by the progressive demolition of Bethesda to make way for more high-cost high rises and multi-million dollar McMansions. Let those who are making large profits by building for the relatively wealthy pay their fair share. Such higher fees would be a progressive tax.
