Musical 'Camelot' Will Bring Legend of King Arthur to Life at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn on Sept. 23-25

Camelot, with book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, will be presented by the Landless Theatre Company on Sept. 23-25 at the Gaithersburg Arts Barn. The majestic musical brings the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table to life with memorable characters and a story that poignantly dramatizes the age-old conflicts of the human heart.
The Gaithersburg Arts Barn is located at 311 Kent Square Rd. in Gaithersburg.

Performances on Fridays and Saturdays will begin at 8 p.m. and performances on Sundays will begin at 2 p.m. Tickets are $24, $20 for students ages 15-21 and $15 those 14-and-under. The show is recommended for ages 12-and-older. Purchase tickets online here.

Camelot follows an idealistic young King Arthur, who hopes to create a kingdom built on honor and dignity, embodied by his Knights of the Round Table. His ideals, however, are tested when his lovely queen, Guinevere, falls in love with the young Knight, Lancelot, and the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance.

Lerner and Loewe's Camelot – Small Cast Version has been adjusted to suit a smaller ensemble, making the classic more accessible to theaters and schools without a large pool of actors.

The Landless Theatre Company is dedicated to producing exciting and accessible art to cultivate new audiences for live theatre.
