Two Free e-Scooter Training Clinics for Those 18-and-Over Available, Including One on Saturday, May 13, in Rockville


Residents 18-and-older interested in e-scooter lessons will have the opportunity to attend two free clinics sponsored by the Montgomery County Department of Transportation. The next class will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, in Rockville.

Participants can take a test ride, learn safety tips and get details on basic scooter laws. A valid driver’s license or ID is required to participate. The clinics are drop-in and no registration is required.

Those interested in e-scooters can stop in at any time during the two-hour clinics. Scooters will be available at each site.

  • Saturday, May 13. 1-3 p.m. Montgomery College, 850 Hungerford Dr., Rockville. (Parking Lot 13).
  • Saturday, June 3. Noon-2 p.m. Wheaton Ice Arena Parking Lot, 11717 Orebaugh Dr., Wheaton.
