The Department of Economic Development has announced that employment in the County increased by 32,530 jobs over the past three years – from 629,592 in 2010 to 662,121 jobs in 2013, a 5.2 percent increase.
Montgomery County job growth leads Fairfax County (3.7 percent) and Washington, DC (2.9 percent) over the same period, according to EMSI, which counts all jobs in Montgomery County, including the County residents who are self-employed.
