‘Travelogues: Polar Bears, Ice Packs & Calving Glaciers at 83 Degrees North Latitude’ Will Be Presented on Thursday, Jan. 19

Anyone who has wondered about what it would be like to travel in Svalbarda, the Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, will get to hear first-hand from veteran traveler Carol Lite in a special online presentation from Silver Spring Town Center, Inc. from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19.

In Travelogues: Polar Bears, Ice Pack & Calving Glaciers at 83 Degrees North Latitude, Ms. Light will talk about her experiences in the region also known as Spitsbergen, or Spitzbergen, and her plans to visit the region again later this winter to experience the Aurora Borealis.

The event will invite online participants to join in the discussion. Other travelers are welcome to join in with a few photos and their own travel stories. Those wishing to participate in the discussion should send an RSVP. Anyone who wants to share their own travel story should indicate those intentions.
