‘Wine and Waterfowl’ Will Be Held Saturday, Feb. 11, at Black Hill Visitors Center in Boyds


“Wine and Waterfowl,” an event that will allow guests to watch from the deck at sunset as waterfowl land on the lake for the night, will be held from 5-7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Black Hill Regional Park Visitors Center in Boyds. Montgomery Parks will be hosting the event that will include a snack and a glass of local wine from Rockland Farms.

Black Hill Regional Park is located at 20930 Lake Ridge Dr. in Boyds. Admission to the event is $30. In addition to the snack and glass of wine, additional items will be available for purchase.

Wine and Waterfowl will include a community art show featuring carvings, paintings and photos of local waterfowl. It also will have adult and junior winners of the Federal Fish and Wildlife Duck Stamp competition.

Local artist Kesra Hoffman will be recognized during the event for her newly painted Sky Murals inside the Visitor Center.

The Duck Stamp exhibit and community art show will be available for viewing from Feb. 11 through Feb. 24 during the Visitor Center’s open hours. The center is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and by appointment. Appointments can be made by calling 301-528-3463.

“This event will showcase the beauty and tremendous diversity of waterfowl found in Maryland and create community for fellow artists and art lovers to share their work,” said Black Hill Visitor Center Manager Jen Scully.
