BioTech and Life Sciences Business and Brad L. Stewart of Montgomery Economic Development Are Featured in Newest ‘What’s Happening MoCo’ Podcast

 

Montgomery County’s Economic Develop Corporation’s (MCEDC) Senior Vice President Brad L. Stewart joined the latest episode of the What’s Happening MoCo podcast, which is now available. The episode centers on biotech and life sciences business in the County.

Mr. Stewart shared his career journey and provide insight into the County’s biotech and life sciences industry and will talk about the growth of AstraZeneca and United Therapeutics in the region.

Mr. Stewart is a serial biotech entrepreneur now working to grow Montgomery County’s economy, which approaches $100 billion per year and is the leading economic driver of Maryland. When asked about what attracts large businesses to set up in the County, he said, “Talent. You have to have a nexus with people with the skills necessary to work in those companies.”

He went on to say the County’s proximity to the nation’s capital and major life sciences institutions also contribute to the value of doing business in Montgomery County.
