‘Juliet Lloyd Band’ to Highlight ‘Evenings in Olde Towne’ Free Thursday Series in Gaithersburg on July 21



The free, family-friendly “Evenings in Olde Towne” concert series will have performances on Thursday nights in July and September at the City Hall Concert Pavilion in Olde Towne Gaithersburg. All concerts will take place from 6:30-8 p.m. The next show will feature the Juliet Lloyd Band on Thursday, July 21.

The concerts offer the opportunity to wind down Thursdays with great music in a casual, outdoor setting. Attendees can bring food and drinks to the concerts. They should also bring a blanket or low-back chair for lawn seating. 

The concert pavilion is located at 31 South Summit Ave. in Gaithersburg. 

Since penning her first song, Boston-based singer/songwriter Juliet Lloyd has quickly gained a name as an accomplished songwriter with an irresistible blend of classic soul/R&B grooves, jazzy harmonies and pop sensibilities. She won awards from Billboard Magazine and the Berklee College of Music for two of her earliest songs and was chosen as a semi-finalist in 2005’s Acoustic Live competition in Los Angeles, Her debut album, All Dressed Up (released in April 2005), featured nine original songs. Reviewers praised her “soulful songwriting prowess” and “well-crafted lyrics” (Metronome Magazine).
