‘Crafting Queer Resistance: The Emergence of LGBTQIA+ Voices in Contemporary Craft’ Will Be Presented by Montgomery History on Monday, June 13

“Crafting Queer Resistance: The Emergence of LGBTQIA+ Voices in Contemporary Craft” will be presented online by Montgomery History at 7 p.m. on Monday, June 13. John-Duane Kingsley, an author and independent consultant on the intersection of design history and the queer experience, will lead the presentation.

Crafting Queer Resistance will explore the expanding world of queer makers within textiles, wood, ceramics and metal. The presentation will look at how queer makers' unique experiences challenge the histories, techniques and materiality of their mediums.
